Programme Description<\/h4>

This CPD programme is designed to help participating mental health professionals to understand the complex ethical and legal considerations surrounding confidentiality when providing counselling services to children and adolescents. It will therefore equip them to effectively address the typical ethical and legal dilemmas that arise within the context of child and adolescent counselling, while also fostering a more informed, responsible, and client centric approach to their professional practice.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Programme Outcome<\/h4>

At the end of this training, participants shall be able to;\n
\t\u2022\tExplain the concept and principles of confidentiality in child and adolescent counselling.
\n\t\u2022\tAddress key ethical issues of confidentiality and informed consent that arise in child and adolescent counselling, while prioritising the well-being of young clients.
\n\t\u2022\t Recognize and appropriately respond to scenarios where exceptions to confidentiality are warranted, ensuring the safety and welfare of the minor.
\n\t\u2022\tEffectively communicate the boundaries and limitations of confidentiality to children, adolescents, and their parents or guardians.
