Overview: This programme is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and ethical foundations required for an effective counseling profession. The course covers theoretical frameworks, practical counseling techniques, ethical considerations, and various evidencebased interventions for preparing Fellows for a range of counseling engagements. Fellows will thus be adequately equipped to serve as Lay Counsellors, and also be educated to gain relevant skills in making counselling referrals and follow-ups (where applicable).

Audience & Entry: Applicants with at least SHS (or equivalent) and English proficiency.

Delivery: Mostly online interactive tutoring (Zoom), with group work, discussions, peer teaching, and in-person practicum role-play.

Duration: 6 months (4 months intensive lectures + 2 months practicum).

Overview: The specialized programme is designed to equip corporate professionals with advanced counselling skills needed to address contemporary workplace issues, while fostering a culture of effective employee support and overall well-being within organizations. Additionally, the course seeks to build the capacity of professionals to design and implement structured counselling programs tailored specifically to the Ghanaian workplace context.

Audience & Entry: Ideal for counsellors and corporate professionals seeking specialization in Corporate Mental Health Therapy. Basic requirement is at least a Certificate in Counselling.

Delivery: Mostly online interactive tutoring (Zoom), with group work, discussions, peer teaching, and role-play sessions.

Duration: 3 months.

Overview: The objective of this specialized programme is to enhance the provision of quality and professional counselling/therapy for couples and families. This programme aims to bridge the existing gap by providing comprehensive training in marriage counselling for professional/lay counselling practitioners, members of marriage committees within religious groups, and other eligible individuals.

Audience & Entry: Ideal for counsellors and aspiring marriage and family therapists. Basic requirement is at least a Certificate in Counselling.

Duration: 3 months.

Overview: This specialized programme is aimed at introducing Fellows to the fundamental changes, challenges and counselling support systems relating to children and adolescents psychopathology. The course will further explore fundamental issues in career identification and development, general perspectives on appropriate career pathways and decision-making, as well as the interrelated nature of careers with individuals’ personality types and interests.

Audience & Entry: Ideal for counsellors and aspiring child and adolescent therapists. Basic requirement is at least a Certificate in Counselling.
