Overview: This programme is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and ethical foundations required for an effective counseling profession. The course covers theoretical frameworks, practical counseling techniques, ethical considerations, and various evidencebased interventions for preparing Fellows for a range of counseling engagements. Fellows will thus be adequately equipped to serve as Lay Counsellors, and also be educated to gain relevant skills in making counselling referrals and follow-ups (where applicable).
Audience & Entry: Applicants with at least SHS (or equivalent) and English proficiency.
Delivery: Mostly online interactive tutoring (Zoom), with group work, discussions, peer teaching, and in-person practicum role-play.
Duration: 6 months (4 months intensive lectures + 2 months practicum).
